World book day



"Each form of the books are treasure that dissemination of culture and education" Irina Bokova- Director general of UNESCO.

Now, books live in airs competitive with technology because of highly reliable, many people prefer internet and social media like ( Facebook.Twitter.Tumblr).
 Than reading books.


In 1995, The United Nations organization for education and science chose April 23 to be world book day to encourage people to read, they chosen this day because many of the greats of literature were born or died in it like: Shakespear and Cervantes. Factors leading to a lack reading are lack of attention quality but to achieve profits and a lot of people not prefer to read books without photos.

 A love of reading is born from house, if the parents interested in reading, the children also interested, so they should encourage their children to read than using internet all the time because read building culture.

Egypt has legends in literature such as: Taha hussien was born in Upper Egypt (Minia city), he titled of dean of Arabic literature and wrote a book about his life called (Days).


When he was four years, he suffered from conjunctivitis but due to lack of money, not go to the doctor and became blind, but his illness not prevent him from continue learning in Alahazr then he joined the Egyptian university in 1908.

In 1914, he traveled to France to study in Sorbonne and received PhD and married from French woman that help him a lot, he died in October 28, 1973.

Another myth in literature is Naguib Mahfouz, the first Arabic recipient the Nobel Prize in literature; he was born in Cairo in December 11, 1911.

He joined Cairo University and received a bachelor of philosophy and he wrote many Novels and books.

He died in August 30, 2006; the state has a statue of him in the street July 26.

These days we are suffering from the decline of morality and culture, so we should our children to read in order to be able to stick to their identity.
